Jude Cirillo
Artist & Printmaker
I can't remember a time in my life that didn't involve art.
I have loved drawing & painting since I was little. Any spare time that I had, I was doing something artistic. It relaxed me. It made sense to be doing it.
I studied art right through high school. After finishing school, I worked with a Graphic Designer, who taught me a lot about the industry. When she moved to Townsville, I got the chance to work in the studio of one of the world's leading artists, Peter Crisp, at The Crisp Galleries. Whilst working there, I chose to study at the Canberra Institute of Technology. In 2000, I completed my Diploma of Visual Arts & Crafts, majoring in Printmaking. I found a new way to express myself.
I haven't had the chance to do much with my artwork since then, due to work & family commitments, but I have now been given the opportunity to do so. I have recently set up my own studio and have been experimenting with different printing techniques, along with painting, drawing and wire work.
